Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary Delhi
Relishing the goodness of nature and giving a loving environment to many birds, amphibians, mammals and more such species is the Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary. Tucked to the Southern Ridge and the northern terminal of the revered Aravalli Hill Range, Asola is one of the best natural retreats that Delhi often boasts about. The wildlife sanctuary is the love of wildlife photographer as it is home to over 80 species of butterflies, 193 types of birds, insects crossing the bar of 100, reptiles, and mammals like jungle cats, leopards, blackbucks, covers, jackals, civets and blue bull and more. And this was just the fauna of the sanctuary as it is also known for the huge variety of medicinal plants that are nurtured here. The wildlife sanctuary also shares its land with Conservation Education Centre (CEC) which plans out expeditions and walks in not just Asola but other biodiversity houses nestled in Delhi. The Centre is under the care of Bombay Natural History Society.
