The lakes in hill area of Manipur include the beautiful Zeilad Lake in Tamenglong that is famous for pythons, fish, water birds, tortoises, ducks, cranes, and teals. Another important mountain lake that is must visit is Kachouphung Lake - near Ukhrul which is also called Azoa Jenephiu Magi Lake and is known for a large number of fishes. Other than these, the district of Tamenglong also houses Thengu lake and in Churachandpur district one can find Patallien Village lake that are worth seeing in Manipur.
