Shree Govindajee Temple Imphal
Being largely visited by the people every year, Shree Govindajee Temple in Imphal is the shining golden building that attracts many tourists besides the regular devotees. Being one of the prime attractions of Manipur the temple has the deities of Hindu gods, Radha and Krishna Govinda. Visiting the temple, one could witness the appealing architecture which comprised red brick and boasts of a rectangular medieval style architecture. History
The temple was originally built in the year 1846, under the rule of Maharaja Nara Singh. Even after after facing severe damages in the past due to the natural calamities, the temple still stands as a popular tourist attraction in Imphal. Later, the temple was restored by another ruler of Manipur and then after few years Shree Govindajee Temple got its original form.

Even though the temple can be visited at anytime of the year, but considering the winter season between November and February would be an ideal choice as the weather remains cool and pleasant making is favorable for the temple tour.

Tourists can make a visit to the Shri Govindaji Temple at all days of the week between 05:30 PM and 01:30 (morning) and 4:00 PM and 8:30 PM (evening).
