How to Reach Rajasthan by Road
Rajasthan is a well connected state, having 20 National Highways wrapping around it and establishing a smooth connection with many other states. The National Highway NH8 is the most important highway that connects Rajasthan to the capital city - Delhi, along with Jaipur, Udaipur, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Mumbai, etc. Other than this there are 19 more national highways, all well maintained that makes travelling to this colorful state of Rajasthan quite comfortable and speedy.
By Bus: The state has commendable bus service regulated by the state Government, under the name of Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC). It owns more than 5000 buses and three out of total 56 depots have buses travelling to other states namely; Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi. Other than government buses one can also opt for Gandhi Rath, Volvos, AC Gray Line Sleeper Services, AC Gold Line Services, Blue Line Services, that also operate from the state.
By Car: If one wishes to go for an adventurous road trip to appreciate the beautiful landscapes of Rajasthan, car would be an expensive option but worth for. One can even hire a taxi which is charged per kilometer, or a driver to avoid making one of the family member or friends occupied for driving. The highways are equipped with numerous food outlets on the way, providing sumptuous food at the middle of lonely roads amidst lush greenery and high mountains as its backdrop, which makes the food as well as the trip even more enjoyable.
Once you get inside the state, there are multiple options available of public transport in each city, like the auto rickshaws, city buses, cab services and cycle rickshaws, to commute within the city. Rajasthan being a deserted region, also has camel as a mode of transport at some places. It is because of the immense tourists inflow, both inbound and outbound, that this state has gained smooth travel services and well constructed roads over the years for convenient transport.
