History
Ramakrishna Mission is a society which was founded by Swami Vivekananda in 1897 with an aim to teach the world about the Vedanta and also improve the social condition of Indian people. For that a number of Ramakrishna maths (monasteries) were established throughout the world; starting with Belur, Kolkata in 1898. At present there more than 20 branches that are operating in different countries like United States, Australia, Bangladesh, Argentina, Canada, Fiji, Brazil, Germany, France, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Russia, Netherlands, and more.
Opening/Closing Time
Ramakrishna Mission remains open from Sunday till Monday from 4:30 AM to 12 PM and 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM (April to September). However, from October to March, the evening change to 3:30 PM to 8:30 PM. The morning aarti at temple starts at 5:00 AM, whereas, the evening aarti commences at the time of sunset.
