Jwalaji Temple Mussoorie

JwalaJi Temple is dedicated to Jwala Devi (Goddess), one of the forms of Maa Durga. The temple is about 9 km west of Mussoorie and is situated on the top of Benog Hill, at about 2,240 metres, surrounded with lush green forest cover. An old stone idol of Devi Jwala is housed in a small white temple structure. It is believed that the goddess blesses and grants the wishes of her devotees.

To reach the sanctified home of Jwala ji, one has to trek for 2 km. After an easy and exciting journey, arriving at the portals of the temple would astonish the visitor with the panoramic views of the Shivalik Range of mountains, Yamuna River, Doon Valley and Mussoorie. The combination of religious sentiments with the tranquillity and beauty of a place is truly incredible.
