Summer Weather in Uttarakhand

The summer season in Uttarakhand starts in April and lasts till June. During these months, the temperature in the state varies from 20° to 40°. Since some of the destinations of the state are located in the Terai (lowland) region, the temperature where for obvious reasons remains high. The summer season in Uttarakhand is relatively better than its neighbouring state of Uttar Pradesh. Since cities and towns in Uttarakhand are mostly covered with hills, therefore, the evenings are noticed to be quite soothing and the temperature drops significantly during the night at most places.

Some major places are at peak of their beauty in summer and are meant to be visited in this season. Nainital, Auli, Ranikhet, Lansdowne, Mussoorie, Dhanaulti, and Mukteshwar are those travel destinations where tourists engagement is more during summers. Moreover, the state hosts some beautiful festivals and fairs in the season of summer like Bhitauli festival, Devidhura Fair, Kumbh Mela, Bat Savitri, and Janopunya.
