Naina Peak Nainital

The highest peak of Nainital, Naini Peak, captivates the mind of every tourist when it's looked up from a distance. With a height of 2615 m, the peak often remains blanketed with trees covered with snow which make it look picturesque. A 6 km trek to the summit of Naina Peak is worth all the effort, money and time as tourists are rewarded with an incredible view of neighboring mountains, and city throughout the trail. Few kilometres of walking trails allow one to capture the landscape from many angles, but it never looks less than astonishing. The trek is an easy one, where one will pass through thick Deodar, Cypress, Pine Forest and rhododendron-strewn path. Elevated view of the gorgeous kidney shaped Naini Lake can leave one breathless. Apart from trekking, tourists can reach the summit of the mountain by riding on a pony. The nearest taxi stand is Tanke Band, which is approximately 3 km from the base of the peak.
