How to Reach Nainital

Nainital being an important travel destination in Uttarakhand is well-connected by all three major means of transport. The airport and railway stations are situated at a short distance from Nainital at Pantnagar and Kathgodam, respectively. The state-run and private buses connect Nainital with major cities and towns of Uttarakhand and with Delhi.

By Air

The nearest airport is Pantnagar Airport which is 72 km from the Nainital city. One has to take a cab from Pantnagar to reach the city.

By Rail

Nearest railhead you will find is the Kathgodam which is 36 km from Nainital. You can get down at this station and take a bus to Nainital, or book a taxi will also do the job.

By Road

Nainital is well connected via road and you will have a sound and comfortable bus service from major cities and towns of Uttarakhand and Delhi, if you choose to travel by road. Cabs are also easily available from Haldwani and Kathgodam for Nainital.
