The Museum is divided into two parts, one being the Nehru Museum and Library and other is Nehru Planetarium. The Nehru Museum and Library gives tourist an insight into the life of India’s first Prime Minister. Opened after his death, the library consists of books written by Nehru and showcases Nehru’s personal collection of books. Known to highly intellectual and well read, the library of Nehru has some of the most famous and celebrated work of literature, history, and politics. The guests can also see the bedroom and drawing room of Jawaharlal Nehru which has been preserved the way it was during his stay.
The most famous kids’ destination in Delhi, Nehru Planetarium was first opened in 1984 which was further renovated and reopened in 2011. The Planetarium boasts a Sky Theatre which takes guests on a voyage of stars and solar system. Nehru was a leader with a scientific vision and it is quite evident with the exhibits in the Nehru Planetarium. The famous tourist attraction houses a detailed journey of India’s space expedition ranging from India’s first satellite Aryabhata to India’s first manned mission on Moon. There is also the description of various scientific principles that apply in space like Doppler's effect and the planetarium exhibits various space tools and equipments like a replica of long range telescope. Entry Fee:
There is no entry fee for visiting Nehru Museum. However, entry fee for Nehru Planetarium is INR 50 for adults, INR 30 for children (13 years and above). Fee for school student is INR 20.

How to Reach
The nearest Metro Station is Race Course Road (Yellow Line). You can interchange for Yellow line at Rajiv Chowk (Blue Line), Kashmiri Gate (Red Line & Violet Line) and Central Secretariat (Violet Line). You can take auto from the metro station. Buses also ply on this route.
