Zakir Hussain Museum Delhi
Words seem to fall short so as to describe the great deeds and tremendous efforts put in by this intellectual after whom this museum is named, Zakir Husain. He was not only the third President of India but also an educationist who was one of the guiding force behind the famous Jamia Millia Islamia. Along with that he also served as the vice chancellor of the institution from 1928 and with his efforts made Jamia Millia Islamia a part of India’s fight for freedom. The museum finds its place in the premises of the institution and honours the remarkable works of the late President of India. In the first place, the tourist spot was constructed as a mausoleum in the year 1972, which with the coming years became a museum housing the essentials of Dr.Zakir Husain. Mementos, memorabilia, and photographs of Zakir Husain are put on display for the public who want to know more about the educationist.
